i dont know... this one is very sculptural. the strong vertical jin is very dominant. but the foliage...looks like "pasted into the picture" with photoshop. doesnt seem to support the main design idea, you know what i mean ?
sure, this is one of my 'neo-classical' bonsai. It is styled the way we were led to believe is the 'classical' Japanese bonsai style. Really it is state of the art of the 1960ies in my eyes. Does not matter, it is THE most common general style in bonsai in the West. I have something for every taste, but I see the point you are making myself. There are lots of folks who think it is great though. Something for every taste.

one of my favorite trees to look for on your daily blog Walter. It has a wonderfull history as I've seen in your gallery on the site.
