Today I came back for a very successful seminar at Wolfgang Kaeflien's place.

what soil was it in before (it's kind of white, just curiosity )??? how do you make those cuts seem natural for a tree ???

it was in pure sand without and additives. This is why I planted it into modern bonsai susdtrate.
The cuts, Oh yes, this will be the challenge next spring.
